Wedding Signage Wording Ideas: Welcome Signs, Bar Signs & Seating Charts

Your day-of signage is one of the first things your guests actually see and read in person, so the wording matters just as much as the design. Here's a collection of wording ideas across the signs couples ask us for most.

Welcome Sign Wording

Classic and warm:

• "Welcome to the wedding of [Name] & [Name]"
• "We're getting married!"
• "Together with our families, welcome"

Playful and personal:

• "[Name] + [Name] are tying the knot"
• "You're at the right wedding"
• "Grab a drink, find a seat, let's celebrate"

Monogram-led (great with our Jane, Fiona, or Grace designs, which are all built around a monogram):

• "[Initial] & [Initial], [Date]"
• Simply the couple's monogram with the wedding date underneath

Seating Chart Headers

"Find Your Seat" is the most popular for a reason, it's clear and doesn't compete with the table list underneath, but there are plenty of ways to make it feel more like you:

• "Please Find Your Seat"
• "We Saved You A Seat"
• "Our Favourite People, Seated"
• "Pull Up A Chair"
• "Find Your Place At Our Celebration"

If you're using a table-based layout rather than alphabetical, a short line under the header like "Guests are listed by table number" helps things move quickly at the door.

Bar Sign Wording

This is where you can have the most fun, since it's the sign most likely to get a laugh or a photo:

• "Signature Cocktails" with your two drink names listed underneath
• "Let's Toast To Love"
• "His, Hers, and Cheers"
• "Drink Menu" with a simple list of what's on offer, beer, wine, and your two signature cocktails
• "Beers, Bubbles & Bad Decisions" (if your crowd appreciates the humour)

Menu Wording

Keep it simple and let the food do the talking, entrée, main, and dessert listed clearly, with any dietary icons or notes at the bottom. If you're doing a shared or grazing-style menu, a short line at the top like "Shared plates, please help yourself" sets expectations without over-explaining.
